Maman Mafeu Tchaleu Marie was born in 1932 in Bakassa, to Papa Zeughoua Danleu and Mami Tcheussiji Pauline (may they rest in peace). Later in life, she married the late Papa Sooh Kandeu Tumta Jean, son of Sooh Kandeu Gaha and Mama Tchamenie, in Badoumkassa. Their love was deep, and together they had a son, Papa Sooh Kandeu Ngappi Michel. By the time of her passing, Maman Mafeu had been blessed with nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, cousin, sister, friend, and leader. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she was always dedicated to the well-being of others. Maman Mafeu Tchaleu Marie’s life exemplified selflessness. She often sacrificed her own needs—even those of her only son—to help uplift others. Her wisdom, compassion, and generosity deeply touched the lives of many.
